The identified cluster is eminently suited as potential location for the development of a Mega Food Park for several reasons:

It is the second most productive zone in MP in terms of total production of fruit and vegetables

Has a competitive advantage as the production basket is supported by a variety of vegetables and fruit.

The significant marketable surplus is a definite advantage in food processing industry.

The production hubs in the cluster are linked extensively to the consumption markets both within and outside the state.

The cluster is very close to NH-3 (Agra to Bombay)  & Indore  (about 40 kms) that is a transport hub and provides good support for transportation of products.

It is also the gateway to east & West for goods transportation, being a zone heavy surface traffic movement.
